An OCT scan uses light to create detailed images inside your eye. Your optometrist will guide you through the process and explain the results.
Position
You will sit in front of the OCT machine with your head comfortably supported.
Scan
The equipment captures detailed images of the structures inside your eye without touching the eye.
Review
Your optometrist reviews the images and explains the findings with you.
Monitor
When appropriate, your scans can be stored in your patient record and compared with future images to help monitor changes over time.
